Our Final Update!

Kia ora Whānau,

Thank you for a special year with your tamariki- We’ve had a blast!
Below is the video that I shared with Room 5 for our last day.
Lots of hugs and goodbyes today- I hope to cross paths with your lovely children one day in the future.
Have a safe and happy Christmas,
Helena

Our Last Days

Elfie was up to no good once again…

Willa shared her adventures with Mr Cheeky- she taught him how to be a super cool DJ.

We got creative making some Christmas art!

We unwrapped our final present under the Christmas tree ‘Oh the places you’ll go’

The Junior Show

Our superstars rocked it on stage today at the junior show!
It was so special to see their hard work over the last term pay off.

Weekly Update

Elfie has been causing a ruckus in Room 5 over the past week…

A special congratulations to Zoe who performed her ballet at The Isaac Theatre Royal!
Congratulations to Ruby, Nela, Quinn, and Mila on their end-of-year dance performance!

We have been learning about Advent and created some Advent art!

We also enjoyed a lovely feast day celebration with games, bouncy castles, face painting, ice blocks and more!!!!

Mr Cheeky Fun!

At the end of term Mr Cheeky has been treated to lots of fun visits home.
He got to meet a friendly sloth with Carter, play cards with Zoe, had his first time on face time with Jesse and topped it all off with an adventure to Ioka Chase’s house!

The Mystery Box

At the start of each week for oral language, students bring an item for ‘The Mystery Box’. The class then has to guess what’s inside using only ‘yes or no’ questions.

Well done Carter!
It took the class 43 questions for room 5 to guess Carter’s item.

Inside the box was his carefully made spider! Room 5 had lots of awesome questions for him which he answered with enthusiasm- tino pai!

Ngā mihi,

Helena Pownall

Kia ora,

Room 5 have been busy busy in the last weeks of term 4!
We enjoyed a performance from various NBC musicians last week!

We couldn’t believe it this morning when we arrived at school and discovered Elfie our elf on the shelf… he will be causing some mischief in Room 5 over the next week..

Our elf on the shelf has left us a Christmas tree with presents underneath to count down until the end of the term. We played pass the parcel to open the first gift and discovered a Christmas story for us to read together! We will be opening a new present each day and discovering a new story!

Today we were also lucky enough to have a visit from Echo the Lizard. Room 5 asked lots of thoughtful questions!

Congratulations to Brighton who recieved a duffy book at assembly on Friday- tino pai!
